Purpose:
The disaster risk reduction (DRR) task force has the main objectives of increasing focus on DRR as a complement to protection gap solutions to increase resilience of vulnerable communities, integrating a DRR lens into IDF programs and giving more visibility to the role of insurance in disaster risk reduction.

Purpose:
The Infrastructure Task Force explores how insurers, working with public and private partners can scale up insurance sector support, through investment in and insurance of resilient and sustainable infrastructure (with a focus on small to mid-cap projects) in emerging and developing countries.

Purpose:
The Inclusive Insurance Working Group (IWG) is dedicated to driving and enhancing coordination and collaboration on inclusive insurance projects to maximise their impact and efficiency, both in terms of technical assistance and funding of resilience-building programs which are operating in local communities vulnerable to climate change and other disasters. It also provides a source of expertise to other public / private parties and, as required, assistance to other IDF Working Groups.

Purpose:
The Law, Regulation and Resilience Policies (LLRP) Working Group is dedicated to developing laws, regulations and public policy frameworks that enable the insurance sector to support sustainable development and to enhance economic and social resilience to natural disasters. It also provides a source of insurance sector expertise for global regulators and other public/ private parties, and technical assistance to other IDF Working Groups.

Purpose:
The Risk Modelling Steering Group (RMSG) is dedicated to improving global understanding and quantification of natural hazards disaster risk, through use, development and sharing of the re/insurance sector’s catastrophe risk modelling capability.

Purpose:
The Overarching objective of the Sovereign and Humanitarian Solutions (SHS) Working Group is to address the insurance needs of sovereigns, sub- sovereigns, international institutions, and humanitarian agencies in programmes and territories that are usually supported by donors or developments banks. The SHS is transaction focused and oversees a portfolio of advisory engagements and fosters information flow and coordination of interactions between industry, civil society, multi-laterals and relevant government entities on “macro” and public assets insurance solutions.
