We know that resilience is strongest when communities are empowered before disasters strike, not simply supported afterwards.
At SXSW London’s Nature & Climate House today 2 June, IDF Change Agent Kipkorir Koskei, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Policy at the Insurance Development Forum, will join the interactive fishbowl session: “We are all builders in the resilience economy.”
Convened by Bellwethers Group as part of SXSW London, the session will explore a critical challenge of our time: how societies build resilience not only through finance, innovation and climate solutions – but through the trust, social cohesion and collective action needed to turn ambition into impact.
As climate and disaster risks intensify globally, resilience can no longer be treated as a future aspiration. It must become a defining feature of economies, institutions and communities today.
Strengthening resilience requires deeper collaboration across governments, development organisations, the private sector and civil society – bringing together risk expertise, finance and action to help close protection gaps, strengthen preparedness and support sustainable development where it is needed most.
These are the conversations helping shape stronger partnerships, more resilient societies and a more secure future for all – helping build Future Ready Nations.
