A warm welcome to Aki Hussain, Group Chief Executive Officer of Hiscox, who joins the Insurance Development Forum Steering Committee.
A respected Insurance leader, Aki brings extensive executive leadership experience within the global insurance sector and a strong track record across the financial services, telecoms and media sectors.
Hiscox is a long-standing member organisation of the IDF. Under Aki’s leadership, Hiscox has demonstrated a strong commitment to the objectives of the IDF, including active engagement in the Sovereign & Humanitarian Solutions Working Group and support for broader IDF thought leadership and advocacy efforts.
Prior to becoming Group CEO of Hiscox, Aki served as its Chief Financial Officer for five years. He previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer for Prudential UK & Europe, as well as senior finance roles at Lloyds Banking Group and NTL, now Virgin Media. He also sits on the Board of Visa Europe as a Non-executive Director and is a Chartered Accountant, having trained with KPMG.
Aki’s appointment further strengthens the depth of expertise, strategic leadership and industry representation within the Steering Committee. His leadership and experience in insurance and financial services will be invaluable as the IDF continues to work together with governments, members and partners on its mission to close protection gaps and strengthen resilience.
