IDF at Buckingham Palace during London Climate Action Week

IDF Change Agent Ekhosuehi Iyahen, Secretary General of the Insurance Development Forum, joined fellow climate and nature leaders from government, the United Nations, business and civil society for a cross-sector discussion on the Global Action Agenda convened by Climate Action at Buckingham Palace on 24th June during London Climate Action Week.

Convened in support of the Action Agenda, the discussion examined practical examples already making progress, and how those success stories can be turned into the building blocks of a stronger COP31 outcome.

In this context, Ekhosuehi shared insights from the Insurance Development Forum’s implementation efforts and highlighted the value of the public-private partnership approach and the important role of insurance in driving resilience.

The round table was followed by a reception where round table participants met with His Majesty The King to share the outcomes of the discussion.

As climate risks continue to grow, collaboration between the public and private sectors has never been more important. The Insurance Development Forum is dedicated to contributing to the partnerships and practical solutions that help turn climate ambition into concrete action and resilience.
