Premasis Mukherjee is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with the migration and remittance team at United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), where he focuses on the migrant financial resilience thematic area with a core focus on inclusive innovation, open digital payments, regulatory and policy development and empowering customers.
He has over 15 years of experience of working in the financial services sector across Asia and Africa, specialising in designing business models, products and services including innovative solutions across Digital Finance areas including insurance, pension, migrant remittances and linked other financial services.
Premasis is also an expert in business Innovation and Human Centric Design. Prior to joining UNCDF, Premasis managed programme management aspects for IFC in Bangladesh and delivered technical assistance to banks and insurance companies on digital finance transformation, HCD and index-based parametric insurance implementation.
He was also practice lead for social security and insurance at MicroSave, a global consulting firm focused on inclusive finance. Premasis’s vision is to contribute to creating a world where access to formal finance and risk management solutions is ubiquitous and universal.
