Eduarda brings a variety of professional and academic experiences in different contexts to her role as Associate within the Insurance Development Forum (IDF) Secretariat. These include working in the corporate, third sector and academic environments across several countries such as Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
Her professional experience includes working on a number of Independent Technical Advisory projects, including a number of initiatives focused on addressing the socio-environmental impacts of mining activities in southeastern Brazil.
She was involved in the pioneering Condicionante 39 initiative which provided a base requirement for the concession of environmental licensing for mining activity (iron ore) in the Conceição do Mato Dentro (MG) region in Brazil. She was also actively engaged in a post event review of the rupture of SAMARCO dam in Mariana (MG) in Brazil which destroyed an entire region of the country, resulted in loss of lives and devastated communities.
She brings a practical and academic focus on policy research to her role, with a PhD and Masters in International Relations from the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom and a Masters in Corporate Law from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (UAH) in Spain.
