About the event
The upcoming UNFCCC COP26 in Glasgow will mark the announcement and signing of a formal partnership between the Insurance Development Forum and V20 Ministers of Finance to establish the Global Risk Modelling Alliance (GRMA).
This is a public-private partnership to promote access to, and local development of risk and resilience analytics, and represents the industry’s commitment and contribution to core risk modelling infrastructure development.
Join us on 3rd November 2021 for a hybrid experience at COP26 that combines standout sessions live from Glasgow with an engaging interactive online experience from IDF and our partners.
Following recent positive developments between the insurance industry and public sector in support of the drive to resilience, it’s time to focus on the importance of strengthening risk financing systems, including insurance systems as part of resilience building and adaptation efforts.
We’ll be showcasing the work of our member organisations that are achieving effective public-private collaboration to inspire further efforts to successfully address the impacts of climate change.
The event will be a blend of keynote statements, roundtable discussions and announcements.
Our line-up of panellists and speakers will be tackling topics including risk modelling as a public good, addressing the risk financing needs of countries, and scaling up effective public-private partnerships.
We hope you’re able to join us virtually for what will be a significant moment for IDF and our partners, and the wider efforts towards a climate-resilient future.
