Tangy C. Morgan is a global (re)insurance industry expert with over 35 years of experience in the US and global catastrophe liability marketplace. Prior to her (re)insurance career, she was an Oil and Gas Production Analyst with Conoco, Inc. Her career in the financial services sector includes working for such companies as Chubb & Son, TIG, Guy Carpenter, AIG, and Lloyd’s of London.
In 2016 she was appointed as a Senior Advisor to the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Committee, advising on issues such as business models, underwriting, board governance, solvency and capital modelling, regulation, organisational resiliency, technology and diversity and inclusion.
Tangy is a frequent speaker at financial services conferences in the UK and internationally speaking on issues of board governance, the impact of technology on traditional business models and sustainability, algorithmic bias as well as diversity and inclusion. She is a mentor to several financial technology (fintech) start-ups. Tangy is currently a board member of Boston University Alumni Council, InsurerCore Ltd, Cachet (Estonia), Alumni Advisory Board of Tennessee State University, STEM Learning Advisory Panel, Strategia Worldwide Ltd, St. James’s Roundtable at Chatham House (The Royal Institute of International Affairs) and active affiliation with several civic and philanthropic organisations in the US and UK. She has a B.A. in Business Management from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN and M.S. in Business Continuity, Security and Risk Management from Boston University. She has dual citizenship in the UK and US.
