Liam started his career with ICMIF in 2006, working in the development function with microinsurers and microfinance. After a few years of tenure, he moved back to South Africa and became a management consultant in branding, change management and communications working across financial services, resources and FMCG. Before coming back to ICMIF in 2021, Liam worked for South Africa’s biggest food producer, giving him exposure to big business and sustainability.
This is where the fascination with sustainability began to grow. With sustainability being at the forefront of ICMIF CEO Shaun Tarbuck’s strategies, Liam rejoined ICMIF as Senior Vice-President Sustainability to work with ICMIF members to drive the mutual and cooperative sustainability agenda now and into the future.
