A Call for Proposals to Support Climate and Disaster Risk Modelling in Senegal

The Global Risk Modelling Alliance (GRMA*) has launched a new Call for Proposals to support climate and disaster risk modelling in Senegal.

The Call for Proposals is based on the gaps and needs identified and co-defined jointly with country partners. With it, GRMA seeks to fill key model and data gaps, and to enhance (sub-)sovereign climate and disaster risk assessment capabilities.

Strengthening climate and disaster risk understanding is critical to building resilience for Future Ready Nations. This is why the Insurance Development Forum (IDF) is pleased to amplify these efforts.

The GRMA is open to applications from research institutions, academia, (re)insurance brokers and carriers, and commercial model vendors. Both individual organisations and consortia are welcome – particularly those partnering with local organisations to ensure lasting impact.

Together with our partners, including the Climate Vulnerable Forum and V20 Finance Ministers (CVF-V20), BMZ, and KfW, we remain committed to advancing climate resilience where it is needed most to help build future-ready nations.

* The GRMA is a public-good service platform dedicated to delivering access and capability in climate and disaster risk insight to build resilience where it is needed the most. It was co-founded by the IDF and the V20; it is funded by the German government and operated in partnership by the IDF and the InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF), hosted at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
